With special thanks to the College, some places have just been made available on a very rare London outing of the 1-day Fundamentals of Radiology I.T. training day later this year on 9th December 2025.
This is the usual non-profit vendor-neutral training running almost every weekend suitable for Radiographers, AHPs or I.T. personnel interested in learning more about the basics of PACS, RIS, EPR, integrations, safety and current hot topics in the profession. These sessions are not normally run in Central London due to venue costs.
Please email directly or DM me via this forum if you have use for any places as I need to allocate them manually.
As this is not a public course, there will be no live broadcast to other groups / rooms and we are limited on numbers.
All other weekday and weekend dates up to April 2026 are currently fully booked (I’ll post a longer update on the 2026 dates soon - if we have messaged about other sessions, don’t worry, I am aware, just have a queue of admin!)
Alexander, are there any dates for when the advance training school for the Scottish national PACS will be reopening? The Reporters greatly appreciated the sessions run before and we are acutely aware that the further delays in moving to SECTRA will place pressures on training time later so wish to lock in those sessions with you now.
@cazz - we can arrange more sessions in Wales for next year if there is the interest with the new PACS deployment, traditionally when we held a session in Wales, it was mostly filled with our friends from across in Ireland each time!
@Rad_Gib - Yes and no We offer live broadcasting to other rooms or groups at the other sessions (not this one), but it isn’t a ‘Teams’ / ‘Zoom’ call it’s a full simulcast with an AV crew at each site (many will have seen this over the years at our larger sessions as we simply can’t fit all the attendees in one lecture theatre or meeting room). It works for groups of around 50+. We’re unable to offer plain Teams/Zoom sessions more generally due to licensing reasons.
@alistairmcg - Thank you; the delays to the Scottish PACS programme mean we have had to push back the main sessions offered in the new training centre into 2026 (it’s the new location - the original Paisley venue was unfortunately not suitable for storing expensive equipment in!). I’ll make a separate announcement about this when it’s ready, but appreciate your enthusiasm and following up with it!
All - Almost a hundred enquiries have come through about this London training so far, so I suspect it will be fully booked shortly. Remember any of the other sessions we run are ‘cheaper’ so I would recommend only attending this rare central London date if you are based in London and absolutely cannot reach any of the others. The larger sessions in Manchester, Glasgow and Liverpool are still only double-digits for the day, even the fantastic marina-front location in Jersey too! We don’t normally train in London due to the much higher costs of arranging so this date will be a one-off for now. I’m grateful for everyones feedback though.
