The RCR Radiology Informatics Committee have released the draft guidance ‘Guidelines for Image Viewing and Reporting Systems, Diagnostic Displays and Human Interface Devices’ for public consultation. This is the final stage before ratification. Comments are being sought on the available draft attached:
This guidance is the replacement for the current 3rd edition of the commonly referenced but now aged “Picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) and guidelines on diagnostic display devices” which will be withdrawn after the new document is adopted.
There are core differences from the 3rd edition, including that guidance is offered on other ancillary devices, including microphone types etc.
Prior iterations of this document have previously been posted to this forum and to the SCoRs RIAG SIG for wider input during its development lifecycle.
