Good evening all, hope everyone is surviving the variable weather at the moment!
To hopefully answer some of the questions I’ve been receiving, a quick public update on the various non-profit training courses running up to the Summer period:
- All sessions up to August 2025 are now fully booked apart from those below.
The larger pre-UKIO 2025 sessions in Liverpool have several hundred attendees already registered but we now have managed to secure team members plus an extra three suitable training rooms in the city to add 52 additional places across the below two sessions:
Fundamentals of Radiology I.T. (1 day training for newer PACS Team members, NQEs, students or those with an interest but limited experience): www.learnpacs.com
Intermediate HL7 + DICOM (2 days for PACS Managers / supplier staff / those with some experience), including the assessment: www.learnpacs.com/level2
As always, these sessions are expected to include attendances by the national training leads for integration, testing, patient safety and clinical collaboration.
If you have staff wishing for a place on either of these please ask them to make contact via the dedicated email address on the event page. All those signed up to the waiting lists have been notified.
Although the training is run on a non-profit basis in ‘spare time’(!), private and supplier staff remain welcome and there is still no difference in cost, just to help keep everyone on the same page no matter their affiliation.
I’ll post a separate further update about the reopening of the non-HL7/DICOM training lab as soon as possible. I’d hoped to do it today but have been asked to delay due to a little more testing being required by one of the Trusts.
