QSI new standard

For those of you that had QSI accreditation on the new standard, I am hoping you might be able to assist with a query

This is one of the requirements that requires evidence. Could anyone share any ideas of what I could provide?

"Process to ensure that measurement parameters are calibrated and checked, and uncertainty measurement considered” – this requirement is linked to XR-509

We are in the process of putting some evidence together for this - our starting point was reviewing each quantitative measurement that is taken from radiology images and working out what we can say about them.

Has anyone complied with this requirement yet?

We are really struggling with this QSI standard, XR-509. Has anyone managed to successfully comply?

Hi Adrian, I can put you in touch with the RCR’s QSI team if that would be helpful - they will be able to offer some advice and support. Please contact: QSI@rcr.ac.uk

Hi Emma,

Thanks for that, I’ll give them a try. I would still be interested to hear from anyone who has managed to comply with XR-509, it does seem to be particularly tricky.

Thanks,

Adrian

Have you spoken to your medical physics team Adrian?

Yes – we’ve involved Med Physics but they have been unable to get any further than ourselves.

Ask them to send me an email and I can talk to them about how we approached it. ed.mcdonagh at rmh.nhs.uk
